Board Members

Chair – Stephen Barber

(Finance and Communications)

With a background as an investment manager, Stephen Barber is Equity Partner of Pictet and Head of Group Corporate Communications. In addition he has a coordination responsibility for Pictet’s Japanese business interests. In 2008 Stephen established and launched the Prix Pictet, a major new global photography prize in the field of sustainability and he continues to be responsible for the prize.

Professor – Justin Dillon

(Environment and Learning)

Professor of Science and Environmental Education and Head of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Bristol.

His previous role was Professor of Science and Environmental Education and Head of the Science and Technology Education Group at King’s College London.

Professor James Logan

(Entomology, Science, research)

Professor James Logan is Head of the Department of Disease Control at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Director of the Arthropod Control Product Test Centre. James is an avid science communicator and is Science Ambassador for the STEMNET network which aims to inspire young people in science. He also makes regular appearances on television, radio and in print media as a scientific expert.

Nigel Keen

(Engineering, Business, finance)

Chairman of a number of high growth publicly listed companies, including Syncona Parners LLP, The Oxford Academic Health Science Network and Deltex Medical Group PLC, and is a past chairman of Oxford Instruments PLC

Jane Quinn OBE

(Communications)

Co-Founder and Director of Bolton & Quinn, the UK’s leading specialist communications agency, working on cultural and educational developments.

Francis Pike

(Historian, Finance, Politics)

Francis Pike is a British historian and business, economic and political advisor. He lived and worked for 20 years in Japan, China and India and has advised financial institutions as well as governments in Japan, Australia, India, China, Singapore.

Natalie Humphreys

(Media and Broadcasting)

In her role as Controller of Factual & Daytime for the BBC, Natalie provided editorial and commercial leadership across the BBC’s factual production network, working across Arts, Science, Documentaries, Features & Formats, History & Business, Religion & Ethics, The One Show and the world-renowned Natural History Unit. Natalie holds a degree in Zoology from  Oxford University.

Tim Delaney

Tim Delaney serves as Chairman and Executive Creative Director of Leagas Delaney Group Ltd. Known as a legendary British adman Tim Delaney is renowned around the world for his copywriting and campaign creative genius.

Stephen Snoddy

(Arts, Charity)

Stephen is the Director of The New Art Gallery, Walsall and is responsible for expanding the footfall, the collection and gallery space. Stephen is a fellow at the Royal Society of Arts and has received solo exhibitions of his work in numerous art galleries.
